2025年1月8日，應澳門大學社會科學學院全球與公共事務研究所所長、政府與行政學系講座教授潘維邀請，哈佛大學Walter C. Klein中國歷史學教授、宗教研究委員會主席Michael Puett（普鳴）訪問澳門大學全球與公共事務研究所。
此次訪問中，結合縱向的歷史比較和橫向的中美歐各國/地區比較，通過分享親身實地考察經歷，就文化、政治、哲學等多個議題，普鳴教授與參加座談的學者一起展開詳實、深入的討論。
普鳴教授對澳門大學的學術氛圍和研究環境印象深刻，並期待未來雙方有更廣泛、實質的交流。普鳴教授的到訪促進了澳門大學與哈佛大學的相互瞭解，也為雙方未來的科研合作奠定了基礎。

On January 8, 2025, at the invitation of Professor Pan Wei, Chair Professor in the Department of Government and Public Administration and Director of the Institute of Global and Public Affairs at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Macau, Professor Michael Puett, Walter C. Klein Professor of Chinese History and Chair of the Committee on the Study of Religion at Harvard University, visited the Institute of Global and Public Affairs.
Drawing on both historical comparisons and cross-regional comparisons among China, the United States, and Europe, as well as his personal fieldwork experiences, Professor Puett shared profound and insightful views on various topics including culture, politics, and philosophy.
Professor Puett is expressed by the academic atmosphere and research environment of the University of Macau and expects more comprehensive and deeper exchanges in the future. Professor Puett’s visit strengthened the mutual understanding between the University of Macau and Harvard University and laid a foundation for future research collaborations between both sides.
Participants in the visit included Professor Wu Yonghong, Head of the Department of Government and Public Administration; Professor Liu Shiding from the Department of Communication; Associate Professor Wu Xiangning from the Department of Government and Public Administration; and PhD student Hu Xueyan from the same department.
