In an interview with TDM News, professor Richard Weixing Hu, Dean of FSS, pointed out that the current form of global governance has undergone some new changes. As President Xi Jinping mentioned earlier, people are now in the midst of major changes unseen in a century. The balance of international power, the global economic and governance environment in the post-epidemic era have changed, and China’s role in the world economy and the overall pattern has also changed. In this general environment, the relationship between China and Portuguese-speaking countries is of outstanding significance.

In fact, the relationship between China and Portuguese-speaking countries is also an important part of the national initiative “One Belt, One Road”. Since many Portuguese-speaking countries in the world are along the Belt and Road Initiative, the economic and trade relations between China and Portuguese-speaking countries develop well. It will be of great help to the promotion and construction of the Belt and Road Initiative. As a service platform for business exchanges, Macao enterprises are relatively familiar with Portuguese-speaking countries. Macao can continue to attract investment helping mainland enterprises going global, and at the same time Macao attract enterprises from Portuguese-speaking countries to enter Macao and the mainland. He believes that Macao can combine online and offline forms in the future to double its efforts to promote economic and trade development. As by UM’s rector Song Yonghua mentioned in his opening speech, Macao has historically been an important bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries and has its own natural ties. From this perspective, Macao’s role in Sino-Portuguese relations is of great significance.

澳門大學社會科學學院院長胡偉星教授在接受澳門廣播電視台（TDM）採訪時，指出，當前全球治理格局正在發生深刻變化。正如習近平主席所言，世界正處於百年未有之大變局之中，國際力量的平衡、後疫情時代的全球經濟與治理環境，以及中國在全球經濟中的角色都在發生轉變。

胡教授強調，在這一大背景下，中國與葡語國家之間的關係具有突出的戰略意義。這種關係不僅是「一帶一路」倡議的重要組成部分，也因許多葡語國家位於「一帶一路」沿線而成為推動該倡議建設的重要力量。

他指出，澳門企業對葡語國家較為熟悉，澳門可以繼續發揮平台作用，吸引葡語國家企業進入澳門及內地，同時幫助內地企業走出去。未來，澳門可以結合線上與線下形式，加倍努力推動經貿發展。

正如澳門大學校長宋永華教授在開幕致辭中所提到的，澳門在歷史上一直是中國與葡語國家之間的重要橋樑，具有天然的聯繫優勢。從這一角度看，澳門在中葡關係中的角色意義重大。
