Associate Professor Francisco José Leandro (FSS/DGPA) has published The Palgrave Handbook on Geopolitics of Brazil and the South Atlantic, a major two volume reference work with Palgrave Macmillan. Distinguished by its unprecedented analytical breadth and depth, the handbook offers a comprehensive examination of Brazil’s evolving strategic role across both regional and global arenas. It brings together classic, contemporary, and critical geopolitical perspectives, while engaging with cutting edge themes such as energy geopolitics, Amazon governance, nuclear autonomy, marine spatial planning, artificial intelligence, and submarine cable infrastructures.
The two volumes provide rare and detailed insights into Brazil’s relations not only with major powers including China and the United States, but also with key African Atlantic partners. Produced under the University of Macau research project SRG2023-00026-FSS, the handbook represents the collaborative work of approximately 200 contributors, including authors, editors, reviewers, research advisers, and assistant project managers. The work is further distinguished by a foreword from Celso Amorim, Chief Advisor to the President of the Federative Republic of Brazil, underscoring its academic and policy relevance.

澳門大學社會科學學院及全球與公共事務研究所副教授利天佑（Francisco José Leandro）近期在帕爾格雷夫·麥克米倫出版社（Palgrave Macmillan）出版了《巴西與南大西洋地緣政治：帕爾格雷夫手冊》（The Palgrave Handbook on Geopolitics of Brazil and the South Atlantic），這是一部分為兩卷的重要參考著作。該手冊以其前所未有的分析廣度和深度而著稱，全面探討了巴西在地區與全球舞台上不斷演變的戰略角色。書中融合了經典、當代及批判性的地緣政治視角，並深入討論能源地緣政治、亞馬遜治理、核自主權、海洋空間規劃、人工智慧以及海底電纜基礎設施等前沿主題。
這兩卷著作不僅深入分析了巴西與中國、美國等主要大國的關係，也提供了巴西與關鍵非洲大西洋夥伴之間關係的珍貴洞見。本手冊由澳門大學研究項目 SRG2023-00026-FSS 支持完成，凝聚了約 200 名參與者的協作成果，包括作者、編輯、審稿人、研究顧問及專案助理等。此外，本書由巴西聯邦共和國總統首席顧問塞爾索·阿莫林（Celso Amorim）撰寫前言，進一步突顯其學術與政策意義。
